REQ14895 Kitchen Helper (Open)POSITION SUMMARY:The Commis is an entry-level position that provides essential support to chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring that kitchen operations run efficiently and smoothly.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with food preparation: Help with washing, peeling, cutting, and prepping ingredients for cooking.Maintain cleanliness: Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and work surfaces. Ensure the kitchen remains organized and hygienic.Assist with stocking and inventory: Help stock ingredients and kitchen supplies. Check expiration dates and rotate stock when necessary.Waste disposal: Properly dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety standards.Assist chefs and cooks: Support kitchen staff by delivering supplies or helping with simple tasks during meal prep.Food storage: Store food and ingredients according to food safety guidelines to maintain freshness and avoid contamination.Assist with kitchen setup: Help set up cooking stations, prep areas, and kitchen tools at the beginning of the shift.Section Responsibility: Work within a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed promptly and to the highest standard.Professional Presentation: Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and hygiene to ensure you meet company expectations.Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and food handling standards.Safety and Reporting: Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors or management as the needs of the kitchen evolve.QUALIFICATIONS:ExperienceNo previous experience requiredEducation High school diplomaCulinary diploma is an advantageSkillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressureGood communication in English; Greek or any other language will be considered as a strong advantageAbility to perform repetitious tasks PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:Attention to detailAchieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for resultsDisplays a high commitment to delivering resultsCommunicates effectivelyDisplays the highest level of integrityAbility to maintain discretionSelf-motivatedApproachable
